Cosplay and Conventions Ushicon 2004!!!

Hey, i was wondering if anyone else was going to Ushicon 2004?

If so, maybe we can hook up and meet each other.

Ushicon is in Austin, TX for anyone who was wondering.

Well, just wonderin if anyone else is goin to Ushicon.

 

uh, is it an anime convention?

.....anyway I couldn't go, I live like, 5400 miles away XD.

 

Yeah, Ushicon is one of the biggest anime cons a year in TX, this year i finally get to go.

After a life time of going to the smaller cons like A-kon and Itzakon, i finally move up the ladder to Ushicon.

Well, anyone else?

 

I live close to Texas, but I lack the means to get to the convention. sorry...

 

Ushicon

My friends and I will most likely be going to Ushicon, we're staying at a nearby hotel. You said that you went to A-kon and Itzacon? My friend Sarah and I were at A-kon as Jessie and Aeris from Final Fantasy 7 and me, my friends Vic, Sarah and Stefani were at Iztakon. I was Reno of the Turks (ff7), Vic was Dante (Devil May Cry), Sarah was Intregal Hellsing (hellsing) and Stef was Walter (Hellsing). On the 2nd day I was Duo. Stef was Mugetsu from The Bouncer and Sarah and Vic were characters from a webcomic called Fallen. So yeah, if you saw any of us, then you'll probaly see us again at Itzakon, doing a Trigun cosplay possibly.

Well, i sure hope i see you and i dought ill cosplay any, my Ivan Issacs costume still needs something, so ill ponder it until Anime Fest roles around (AF is in Dallas) and then be him.

And i got two friends who are goin to Ushicon as well, Joanna and Sarah, i think theyll be in their Sailor Mars (sarah) and Sailor Jupiter (joanna) outfits.

Well, i hope to see you there and hopefully, leter in such cons as A-Kon and Itzakon, maybe even Anime Fest one day.

Unforutnalty, i didnt get to go to either A-kon or Itzakon this year.... but i went the year before that i think that was the only year i havent missed those Cons since i became an anime fiend.

 

The 2003 cons were my very first ones, but we're all goin to A-kon 15 (2004) as Final Fantasy 7, Megatokyo and various people. It'll be hard to miss us. We're gonna be a rather large group.

 

Ah, well, i usually go in small groups to cons, usually me Sarah, Joanna and another girl whom a cant remember her name go as a 4 person anime posse.

But, my trip to Anime Fest will be my official first real cosplay, so im lookin forward to it.

 

I'll probably be Duo from Gundam Wing or some other person. If ya watch Weiss Kreuz, then that's one of the cosplay's we're doing at Ushicon.

 

If there are more Japanese guests (voice casts) from anime industries I might consider it. Although many conventions that are not Animexpo types tend to have boring English voice casts and affiliates. Not to mention bunch of fat people cosplaying to demoralize anime industries. :anger2:

 

Dont diss cosplay completly, there are a seltect few who rock your socks off!

Besides, to tell you the truth, i am goin for discounted prices on manga and anime, hopefully ill buy a bag from Mtyh since they will be there in the dealers room. But i dont go for the people there, i go for the awsome atmosphere of people and anime.

Not to mention DDR!

 

Yes, the lure of discount anime/video game paraphernelia and the 50 cent DDR machines are something to look forward to ::constantly sits in front of calendar awaiting A-kon:: anyway...I go to see some of the actors, but mainly so I can hang out with other anime lovers and such. Also for the cosplay, I love it!! I like to take pics and have mine taken lol. Obe thing I've found out about cons is: You can't go to a con without meeting somebody, whether you know them or not. I met one of my best friends at Itzacon.
