this is well pretty much off the back of the first dvd
Japonesss, like the rest of the planet of Terra 2, is planet without women. In an attempt to fill this void, society has devised female androids called marionettes. But they are simply soulless machines designed to help with routine tasks. Until, that is, a ordinary young man named Otaru accidently discovers three sleeping marionettes that each possess a maiden circuit. This circuit gives Lime,Cherry, and Bloodberry emotions. Each of the 3 marionettes fall in love with Otaru and later in the series they go up against the rogue country of Gartland who's determined to rule the world.
Thats about it without saying any spoilers lol.

*sigh sigh* I can remember when I first heard of it. I was not that interested...and then I watched some of it, and before I knew it, I liked the plot and I'd finished watching the whole SMJ series.

    Yep, I really recommend it!

Saber seems to be the board favorite. I mean, it's a great show and all, but I'm not too big a fan. I'm a fan of Luchs, and not really too much else. Great story though, and I love the fact that you KNOW they mature, and it's a very visible kind of maturity...though it's pretty questionable with Lime...however, her kawaiiness makes up for it really easily.

A VERY good and touching series!! Really worth watching!!

    Here's the story:
Ok, it all started when in the 22th century, the Earth was so overpopulated that it caused a whole rampage to mankind. To solve this conflict, many ships went out to space to try to find other planets suitable to colonize. Mesopotamia (as shown on the top) was one of them, and the crew founded a planet suitable for life and named it Terra II. But something happened to the ship, and only six MEN fleed to safety and stranded on Terra II. Realizing that all of them were males, they couldn't continue to colonize the planet. But suddenly, one of them decided on cloning themselves to continue their generations on colonizing planet Terra II. Through their highly advanced technology, they were able to clone successful males through their own genes, but they were never able to create a successful female. Therefore, to fill in this void, the people of Terra II created female androids called "marionettes"

Our story takes place around 300 years later after the colonization. By this time, there are six city-nations, founded by the six men who survived. Marionettes were just mere souless, emotionless robots programmed to do daily chores and business. However, one day, our hero, Mamiya Otaru discovered three unique marionettes:Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry, that contains the special "maiden circuits" (otome kairo), which allowed them to have the abilities to have emotions and feelings. Because Otaru awakened all three of them up, he is their master, but they seem to all be fighting for his affection ^^; But their neighbor nation Gartlant's leader, Faust, was having a war with Japoness. It is up to Otaru and his marionettes to stop him and his Saber Dolls, who also have "maiden circuits" and are as devoted to Faust as Lime and the others are to Otaru. More and more of the secrets are revealed later on as Lime and the others learn more about life...
