Anime Who's the smartest of the crew?

Who is the smartest of the nadesico crew?

Even though most of the crew are commpletely out of thier tiny little minds there are some smart people on the crew with an I.Q higher then a dead goldfish!
Of course theres the ovious two that are Inez and my faveriote Ruri. But some of the others are not so bad like the captian is able to think up some pretty good stratagies in the heat of battle. Akito can also pull off some fancy moves in the middle of battle when he wants to and also Seiya the engineer gut can put together a few cool inventions for the mechs.

 

Now who is the smartest. That is a very hard question to answer, since everyone on the the nadesico have there own speical talent and ability. I guess when they wanted to put together the best crew they could for nadesico they did. For me i would have to say it comes down to 2. 1 would be Ruri for her speicalty at running the nadesico computer system for the age of a young girl like that and for being the only one who really has any common sence.....lol. 2 would be Akito for his awsome pilot skills out in the battle field and wanting and having a heart to be willing to sacrifice his own life to save his friends,love ones, and crew.

 

I choose Ruri because she was raised to be a genius and she runs Omoikane on the Nadesico. She also contrasts the other character stupidity by calling them "baka" all the time(lol..). I would have to give Miss Yurika some credit too. She seems like an idiot who cares more about running after Akito but when it comes to making Tactical decisions her intelligence shines. I have had people tell me that they can't stand Nadesico because they think that all the characters are total idiots especially Yurika, but if anything they are very eccentric and that's what makes the show so funny.
