Cowboy Bebop why????

After Julia's death Spike decided to die too. But he knew that Faye liked(loved?) him. Couldnt he just stay with Faye, did he had to die?? :*(

 

If you watched the series.. and listened to everything that was said, you will realise Spike did not run off to die.. He went to find out if he was alive. And finish the score once and for all with vicious..

Not only that it does not say faye loved spike as a lover.. But it shows that Faye after searching for her past. finaly found that her family is on the bebop and did not want to loose that.

haha why not just settle for second best its simple he loved julia, erm listen to the "tiger striped cat" story in the last or 2nd to last episode.

also did you get the impression spike loved faye? i sure as hell didnt they seemed alot like pbrother and sister to me me and my sister biker like them.

spike was onyl affraid of death when he had julia and when she had gone life wasnt as attractive as it had been when she was alive.

but mainly THE LOVER OF HIS LIFE HAS BEEN KILLED BY HIS ARCH ENEMY
1. i would be seriously pissed
2. you dont just settle for soemone else who likes you

well, the tiger stiped cat story just proves that Spike wanted to die. And i think that its wrong of spike to just choose to die. Julia loved spike and i think that she would prefer him to live a long life with her or without her by his side(she refused to kill him and choose to be hunted, so she diffinetely wanted him to live). And i believe that life is a precious gift and people cannot choose when to die or when to be born.

 

nooooooo, he didnt want to die he just didnt have anything to live for, he wasnt affraid of death.

i mean the story is very metiphorical and people will see it in a differnt way to others, just saying it how i saw i can see what u mean though.

 

actualy the tiger striped cat story is forshadowing how the story will end.

its not about wanting to die..

There once was a old tiger striped cat, who died a thousand deaths. Then one day he met a white female cat and lived happily with her. Then one day she Died and he wep a thousand tears.. then finaly the tiger striped cat died again, but this time he did not come back..

Thats Roughly how it goes.

its just a forshadow and the story of spike's life.

You also have to Listen to what Spike tells Faye at the end.

Spike did not go there to die.

and anyway like ive said it before.. the show could not have ended any better.

there it is exactly i think. but anywho, it really is foreshadowing.
vicious said that he was the only one who could kill spike (and vice versa, as spike points out). and im pretty sure spike said something about dying before, so its just a really condensed metaphor of spikes story.
so, spike didnt decide to die. he wanted to stop vicious because, under his leadership, the syndicate killed julia.
im pretty sure thats it...

i dont think that vishious wanted to kill julia(did he?) I think that he liked her. she was accidentally killed. but she was killed by one of the vishious' men, so thats why spike deciced to kill vicious.

 

no, vicious issued the order that anyone who was connected ot the old leadership and hadnt turned over to him had to die. he had some list i think, and spike and julia were on it. unless vicious just killed julia to get to spike.

 

Spike did not go to Vicious to die. He wanted to see if he was still alive. Spike was not afraid of death. He knew what he was getting into. He just had to go to Vicious to settle to score.

 

Well here's what I think even though I'm a total newb here :sweat: (actually i havent been on here for years ) Ok Vicious killed Julia, the reason ... I think he was trying to get to Spike or something cuz i dont think he liked her all that much. And I totally agree with the whole Striped Tiger story thing cuz Im in a similar situation. I think it was a great ending as some one has allready said. oh so sad yet so beautiful in its own way... :catgirl: i cant be very sure though but from what i see it , since it's sending a different idea to so many people ... i think its supposed to be that way...(ai caramba im really bad at explainng things :dizzy2: ) that's just me though :anime: (did i talk too much? :sad: ) :sweat2:

 

Can someone explain to me this concept of wanting to see if he was still alive. I'm not sure I get it.

Also, I have to point out something. Remember when Spike and Julia were in Annies shop? Spike pulls out some guns. Julia says "you don't need those to run? your going aren't you? I'll go with you." Something like that.

It would seem like Spike intended to kill Vicious before Julia died. Did Annies death tick him off? Perhaps he knew he was responsible for her death. Who knows.

Lastly, the syndicate was after spike before Vicious took over in episode 25. Remember at the loser bar?

 

The movie takes place before the end of the series. Somewhere between episode 21-23 I believe. Also Spike speaks of Julia in the movie as if the issue had not been resolved yet. Thats how I first figured out the timeline for the movie.

 

Didnt Vicious Already have part of the Sydicate on his side? maybe he sent some of his guys after spike

 

oh yeah... he died... gyah... but he didn't die just for julia. like other people previously said, it was more or so to just do his own thing. settle things, and set things straight for the last time.... well, not really.

blah! so confusing...

 

Even if I'm wrong fudge, remember how Jet's old buddy told him that the Van was eliminating all old members of the syndicate after Vicious attempted the Coup. No matter how you look at it Spike was a target of the Red Dragon before Vicious took over.
