Music tool

anyone here listen to Tool at all? or A perfect CIrcle?

 

yes they are good (tool). I like the perfect circle video with the angel walking through the streets. Well directed. Not so keen on them tho.

 

me me me 100% cant say i have heard all of their tunes.
But i loves stinkfist, laterlus aenema whatevers and a perfect circle rocks my socks. Dont know the names but I love both bands.

 

Both are great, possibly my favorte two bands.

 

Not only heard of Tool... also seen them at Ozzfest 2002 (At castle donnigton) though contrary to what ive heard about seeing them live, that there meant to be "awesome", "Best live" etc etc... the boy seemed a bit shy... only thing he said apart from songs was "Hi, how are you. Anyone cold... if so put your hands in each others pockets" :/

They're so awesome.

And, Angel from hell, although they may seem shy, they do rock my world. They never show their faces, not even in videos. Oooh.. very mysterious.

I've heard a couple songs by Perfect Circle, they're okay.

Thats wrong, they are in their video for the song Hush. Tool is awesome, as is A Perfect Circle. Uhh...not really sure what else I should put.

 

Wonder why i didnt point that out, seeing as i do have that video in there DVD thingy (Think it's called "Saliva DVD" but they have a tendancy not to write the name & rather go for a spiritual/bizare type picture)... damn memory :anger2:

Tool own completely, APC also are teh kings.

 

Tool used to be my favourite band way back in the day.
But little by little I found myself more and more bord with their music.
By the time I saw them live at Ozfest I wasn't really interested in them, they they were awsome and all the songs came flooding back to me.
But that was the last time I listened to them.

To make this more non-spamish, I have a question. Can anyone confirm or deny that Tool will be coming out with a new album in 2005?

They are rumoured to be doing a track for Doom 3 so possibly, but at this stage I wouldn’t believe anyone who confirms it other then a record company or an official site.

 

maynard is with APC for another year, then back to tool, where he will be writing another album

but if he decides to leave apc sooner, he can

 

Wasn't Nine Inch Nails going to do that soundtrack, but didn't(Doom 3) Maybe that's another game...oh well.


Uh, yeah. Does anyone know if APC is giong to tour the US anytime soon? I went to their site a while a ago, and it was all European stuff. I haven't checked since then, and that was a few months ago.

 

They toured a while back, and will be doing so again in the "fall" aparently, NiN are (is seen as NiN is only really Reznor) doing the Doom 3 sound track, tool are just aparently doing a song for it, tho its only rumored at the moment.

I don't know ... to me, Tool always seemed like a band of ... tools, I guess. Hacks. Losers. Not to say they don't have any musical ability. I mean, Schism was a really good song. But then when I heard the rest of the album, I noticed most of their songs kind of sounded the same.
At least they can write decent lyrics, though. I respect that, if nothing else.

 

I fail to see how you can say they have no musical ablity, seen as they have one of the most talented drumers in the world.
